We are helping youth learn problem-solving skills by making things.

About Maker Youth Foundation

Maker Youth Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.

We facilitate programs in low income communities where kids can explore, be creative and curious, and make things.

Making encourages youth to take an idea and develop it using tools and raw materials that support invention.

A maker mindset is a growth mindset that encourages us to believe that we can learn to do anything. It means you are resourceful, resilient, creative, and confident in pursuing new ideas.

We foster a maker mindset by creating innovative thinkers and doers through hands on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, & Math) activities, using everyday materials from cardboard and tape to high end technologies such as 3d printers and laser cutters. Our programming engages and challenges kids to explore, think, and innovate!

We are investing in our youth and training them not just for today, but for tomorrow – a tomorrow that will require them to master technologies that do not yet exist. It is our mission to help youth develop timeless skills such as curiosity, collaboration, and problem-solving.
